A Thanksgiving Treat

Happy Monday and short week friends! I'm lucky this year in that I'm only working tomorrow. It's such a relief after years of never having the vacation abilities! I'm so excited.

Today I want to share my favorite treat to make around the holidays. Actually, I really find an excuse to make it whenever I can. We are having a Thanksgiving potluck at work so I knew this is what I'm bringing!

Things you need:
2 eggs
1 stick of butter
1/2 cup oil
1/4 cup water
Brownie mix (I prefer Betty Crocker Supreme)
Chocolate Chip cookie mix
1 package of Oreos

Preheat the oven based on the brownie box suggestion - either 325F or 350F.

Use the stick of butter and one egg to mix up the cookie dough. My suggestion is put the softened butter and egg in first and slowly add and mix the cookie dough. It makes it easier if you've just worked out and done a lot of pushups like I had...
Mix the egg, oil and water with your brownie batter and if you got the Supreme, don't forget the syrup packet! Trust me.
Once both of your batters are made, spray your brownie pan and start with the cookie layer. I suggest putting it down in separate dollops so it's easier to spread. Like so:
Go ahead and use your hand to spread it out - the spoon just makes it too difficult and you'll get mad. I've gotten way too mad at the spoon before...

Now, layer the Oreos on top. I usually do perfect, even lines because we cut the brownies the size of Oreos, but since I'm sharing with more people, I crammed some half pieces in too so every bite has an Oreo!

Finally, my favorite part - pour on the brownie mix! Again, spread it as evenly as you can and once it's down, spread it out evenly and use the remaining to fill in any empty spots (and usually the corners).

You should bake it according to the brownie box, but I usually do anywhere from 30-40 minutes depending on when the knife comes out clean!

Okay, I lied. This is my favorite part.

Licking the bowl.
