Overwhelmed.

Guys, I am overwhelmed by all the love I have received from everyone after revealing our news Monday. You've all been so sweet and I can't wait to share this next journey with you all! I hope you'll tell me if I mention something and it sounds like a completely crazy idea ;)

Today, I'm so overwhelmed but in such a good way. I've been going through my Pinterest boards organizing what I might want to do and deleting anything I definitely won't do or Christian won't like. I joined The Knot, which may or may not be a good thing - that website is ridiculous! And my mom has already started a guest list. My grandparents have already started throwing out locations and caterers. There's so much to do!

We're not planning to get married until next Fall so I know I have time to plan and save but I'd also like to get everything done as quickly as possible to save myself the stress at the end (which I'm sure will still be there!). I also know we'd like Fall engagement photos so we need to find a photographer quickly and set a date for that, too. Spring would be fine, but we'd both like Fall. We're definitely fall kind of people.

I still can't believe this is real life and I really do get to marry Christian. One of my friends said when I told her that: " I know! You get to live in a fairy tale for the rest of your life!" And that seriously is the best way to put it. I know life will not always be perfect (after watching your parents stay married for 25 years - and over 30 years for his parents, you learn a thing or two about how to make it work). I know it won't be all sunshine and rainbows forever but I know that I can't imagine anyone else standing by my side through this crazy ride.

I also promise I will be back to regularly scheduled programming around here next week but this week, being engaged is literally all I can think or talk about!
