I'm Surrounded by Idiots.

I've mentioned this quite a few times before, but people just amaze me. I've mentioned the crazy things people say to my parents at their shop and weird things they say to me on the phone. Recently I've just had a couple of crazies I just have to share!

To preface, I sell internet services for a very, very large and well-known company. Most of my customers are in TX, CA, FL, NY, NJ, DC, PA and the rest of the northeast. And I'm obviously in North Carolina which I very frequently tell them.

Call One.

Me: Thanks for calling ***, this is Leslie, how can I help you?
Customer: Uh, yeah. What time does the store close on 1st street?
Me: Um.. this is the sales department for home services. I don't know your local store's hours.
Customer: Can you find out?
Me: Sir, I would recommend calling the local store...
Customer: What's their number?
Me: I'm not sure where you're located so you should probably just Google it.

Call Two.

Me: The best part of this deal is that there's no contract but you will have a price guarantee for 12 months.
Customer: Wait, what?
Me: There's no contract but you will have a price guarantee.
Customer: What's that?
Me: I'm sorry, I'm not understanding your question.
Customer: What's a price guarantee?
Me: ......um the price will be guaranteed.. uh stay the same for 12 months.

Call Three.

Me: Ok, can I get your e-mail address?
Customer: I'll spell it. u-r-g-u-r-l-j-i-z-z-y-6-9
Me: Okay, let me make sure I spelled this right. I spell it back.
Customer: Yes, it's urgurljizzy69

Call Four.

Customer: Yeah, I was wondering if you guys have service in Raleigh, NC.
Me: I actually live in NC and we don't have the service here in NC.
Customer: Well.. I mean I might have it here.
Me: It's actually not in the state at all.
Customer: Well will you just check anyway. Here's my address.
Me: Ok sir, I checked and we don't have service at your address in NC.
Customer: But... this is the capital...

Customer service can be so annoying some days but at least you get an entertaining blog post out of it!
