Thank you Pinterest.

Edit: I had this post already scheduled to go up this morning when I heard about the Boston tragedy. I know that I could never say the right thing regarding the incidence so I'm going on with my post as scheduled. But, this doesn't mean that Boston isn't in my heart and that I'm not hoping and praying everyone who is injured heals and that they catch the awful person/people who did such an awful thing.

I am addicted to Pinterest. As I'm sure most of you are, too. I check it multiple times a day and I pin anything and everything I think could possibly be useful. But currently, I stalk the home decor section since I will be having my very own big girl apartment with my very own live-in manfriend. As a result, I am striving to make it as gender neutral as possible because Christian is quite picky when it comes to apartment decor. Which is surprising because the only decoration in his all white room throughout college was a flag..

Anyways, the point here is to show you some things I'm looking at for inspiration for our apartment!

My furniture is white and we get to take that, so I'm looking for something mixing neutrals with a pop of color as you can see. I think we've decided on a blue/teal accent color but I'm still pushing for yellow :)

I will 100% have a red couch. That's non-negotiable. I've always wanted a red couch and Christian likes it too! And I've got a lottttt of books so I love the bookshelves around the couch!

For those who don't know where Boone is, it's in the High Country of North Carolina. Hence, the top picture. This is where we met and fell in love so that picture is a must. There will definitely be a Mumford lyric somewhere (probably the wooden letters on the canvas). And the Barney Stinson quote is most likely going in the bathroom!

As you can see, I'm very excited for this apartment and I don't even know where I'm living yet or when we'll finally get to move! Regardless, my "Apartment" board will continue to grow.

Are you obsessed with Pinterest too?

I love the idea of a teal bedroom! One thing you might want to consider is a grey room - I know what you're thinking but it can actually be very pretty, calming, and classy. I bet it would probably satisfy your boyfriend as well!
