Back in February, I accepted a position I wasn't super pumped about. But, it was so early in the job hunt and I was so unsure about everything, that I was afraid to say no and risk not having a job on May 11th. I was also told I wouldn't hear back from them for a bit... I heard back the next day. I was told I would have a couple of weeks to decided... I had 1. So I was scared and took it but kept hunting.
The last Friday in March, I interviewed with a company in Fort Mill, SC. Which is literally RIGHT over the border in Charlotte. Like you pass the "Welcome to South Carolina" sign, turn left and you're in the company's parking lot. I was a little unsure about the company about hearing some experiences others had. My friend Alyssa works there, and she loves it so far so I went in with an open mind.
The interview went superbly well. I was actually amazed at how calm and relaxed I was and that had a lot to do with the atmosphere in the company and the people I interviewed with being so nice and welcoming. After 4 hours, I was finally free to leave and wait for a week to a week and a half to hear back.
Almost 3 weeks later, I got the call Tuesday afternoon and after a round of phone tag Wednesday, I was finally offered the position! I immediately accepted it and now I am no longer worried about May and what will happen!

yay! you're moving to Charlotte, thats where I work!
i would let the other company know that you've received an opportunity that aligns more with your degree, scope of work, living location, etc. thank them for their opportunity and offer and move on.
Yeah super awkward to tell the other job but YAY for having one you really want!!
