"Maybe our girlfriends are our soul mates and guys are just someone to have fun with?"
- Sex and the City

Monday, I spent the entire afternoon with my best friend, Katherine. We met sophomore year of high school but didn't become close until Senior year. She is definitely my other half.

We have been through many unimaginable things in both of our lives and we have always been there for each other. We had a small "falling out" freshman year after living together and I went a littlleeee crazy; but it never hurt our relationship in the long run. We both agree that going through that made our friendship stronger and we learned how much we needed each other in our lives.

If I'm ever having a bad day, I can immediately text her and she can make it better. And vice versa. I don't know where I would be without her in my life. No matter what I need to vent about, she will listen.

She currently lives inWest Lafayette, IN and attends Purdue while I'm over here in Boone so we don't see each other very often. We saw each other in July for her birthday and then not again until December. We were supposed to see each other again in December but I wasn't able to so we finally got to see each other Monday!! We literally sat on the couch talking while her boyfriend listened (and I'm sure was bored out of his mind) and were happy as can be.

So, as a tribute to my other half here's a few, okay maybe a lot, of pictures of our friendship:

Junior Year

Babies at a HS football game
Senior Year

Prom!
Best day ever.
We cut the cake together as if we were married..
I tried to put a plastic grad cap from our cake on her head.

So she smeared icing on my face.

 YHC: Freshman year
Technically, this was summer before YHC but whatever.

Creepers.
The Player's Ball -- don't ask...

Halloween 2009!

My 19th birthday! (Hot mess alert)
Since the separation
Halloween 2010

Visit to Boone!

Same visit!
Her 21st birthday :)

Everyone, go love on your best friend today!
